‘Marine protected areas are the best tool we have to bring the Mediterranean Sea back to life.’ This is one of the messages our director, Aniol Esteban, conveyed in Barcelona at the latest edition of the Bluewave Days.
Organised by Bluewave Alliance in June, this event brought together conservation organisations, scientists, the private sector, and civil society with the shared aim of making progress in protecting the Mediterranean and raising awareness of the benefits that such protection brings to both the environment and society as a whole.
Bluewave Alliance is collaborating with Marilles on a project to establish a marine reserve in the Serra de Tramuntana (Mallorca).
