Collaboration: A key to achieving Mediterranean regeneration

Collaboration between different entities and agents is key to regenerating the Mediterranean. This is one of the messages that our director, Aniol Esteban, launched at the Bluewave Symposium, held on 13 June at the Olympic Port of Barcelona. Esteban took part in the roundtable Effective protection of marine spaces, together with Joaquim Garrabou, researcher at the Institute of Marine Science of the Spanish National Research Council (ICM-CSIC), and Teresa Ferrés, representative of Palamós Town Council.

The Bluewave Symposium is the central event of Bluewave Days, a Bluewave Alliance initiative promoted by ISDIN, the leading dermatology laboratory in Spain. It aims to bring together scientists, companies, and entrepreneurs involved in the recovery of the Mediterranean Sea and to raise public awareness of the need to restore it. More than 60 activities took place along the Spanish Mediterranean coastline during Bluewave Days.
