The Catalan and Balearic Federation of Underwater Activities and Observadores del Mar (Sea Observers) present the first Scientific Diving Course for volunteers FECDAS-FBDAS-CMAS (Balearic Islands).
The training - which will take place 3-20 October in Mallorca - consists of learning techniques for collecting information and scientific sampling. It is designed for volunteers in citizen science activities and people involved in scientific work related to the marine environment (biology, oceanography, etc.).
The course includes field practice, which will take place in Porto Cristo. Participants will be accompanied by renowned teachers specialised in different scientific fields.
Successful participants will receive the following:
- A Specialist Diver in Underwater Sampling Techniques diploma and certificate.
- An Ocean Explorer CMAS international licence and qualification.
