Meeting with the Secretary of State for Tourism

A well-conserved sea is essential for tourism in the Balearic Islands and throughout Spain. This was the key message we conveyed to the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rosario Sánchez, during a meeting attended on behalf of Marilles by Aniol Esteban (director); Sandra Espeja (strategic alliances coordinator) and Pablo Rodríguez Ros (marine protected areas manager).

During the meeting, we exchanged views and shared our ongoing initiatives to preserve the Balearic Sea. As we emphasised, marine conservation can and should be a cornerstone for transforming the tourism model. Likewise, we reiterated our commitment to ensuring that the tourism sector - both public and private - becomes fully engaged in marine conservation, making it an integral key part of its strategy.
