Marine Forum
The Marine Forum is an annual point of reference in matters of marine conservation, a platform to create debate and propose solutions to reverse the pressures the sea is facing, divulge good practices, and urge everyone involved – whether public or private – to commit to unresolved challenges.
At the 2020 forum – marked by Covid-19 – 30 international and national experts agreed that the conservation of the Balearic Sea and coastline must be the focal point of any recovery plan. 2020 also marked the first Future Forum (Foro Futuro), a meeting point for young people to present ideas and projects with the objective of preserving the world they will inherit.
Marilles is part of the Marine Forum’s promoter group along with the OD Group, Be Blue-Trasmapi, the Vellmarí Association, the Pacha Foundation, and Ibiza Preservation (the Foundation for the Conservation of Ibiza and Formentera).
“The Marine Forum is a space for reflection and for adopting a commitment of joint responsibility concern- ing the marine environment for all parties involved, both public and private. And the event is just as important as is the follow-up of proposals during the rest of the year; the entities of the promo-tional team, one of which is Marilles, play a key part.”
